Safeguarding commitment

Commitment

GreenHearth is committed to preventing harm, exploitation, abuse and neglect in connection with its people, programmes, partnerships and communications.

Scope

The approved policy should apply to trustees or board members, staff, volunteers, consultants, partners, visitors and anyone representing GreenHearth.

Prevention

Recruitment, role design, risk assessment, codes of conduct, consent, data handling, photography and programme delivery should incorporate safeguarding proportionate to the context.

Reporting

People must have safe, accessible and confidential routes to report concerns. Reports should be handled by trained, authorised persons and referred to appropriate services or authorities where required.

No retaliation

No person should face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith. Confidentiality should be respected while recognising that information may need to be shared to protect someone from harm.

Questions, correction requests or concerns can be submitted through the Contact page. Add the policy owner, approval date, next review date and version number after formal approval.
